Here are the details on this position.We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Product Designer to join our dynamic product management team. As a Product Designer, you will play a critical role in designing and enhancing digital properties, including browser and mobile applications, that support our Population Health Programs. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to create user-centric designs that drive engagement, improve health outcomes, and meet the needs of our diverse member base.Your role in our mission
- User-Centered Design: Lead the design of intuitive, accessible, and visually appealing digital experiences for browser and mobile applications, ensuring they meet the needs of our diverse user base within the PHM program.
- Design Thinking: Apply design thinking methodologies to solve complex problems and innovate on user experiences, ensuring that the design process remains human-centered, iterative, and collaborative.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand business goals, user needs, and technical constraints, and translate them into effective design solutions.
- Wireframing & Prototyping: Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate interaction and design ideas. Iterate on designs based on feedback from users, stakeholders, and usability testing.
- Design Systems: Contribute to and maintain a design system that ensures consistency across all digital properties, while allowing for flexibility and innovation in individual products.
- User Research: Participate in user research activities, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gain insights into user behavior and preferences. Use these insights to inform design decisions.
- WCAG Compliance: Ensure that all digital designs comply with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standards to provide inclusive experiences for all users, including those with disabilities.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and best practices. Proactively seek opportunities to improve the user experience across our digital platforms.
- Cross-Functional Communication: Effectively communicate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders, including non-designers, and advocate for user-centered design practices within the organization.
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 or more years of experience in UI/UX product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work on web and mobile applications.
- Expert in designing tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar. Strong understanding of design principles, including typography, color theory, and layout.
- Experience with user research methodologies and tools. Familiarity with design thinking methodologies and how to apply them in product design processes.
- Familiarity with front-end development and an understanding of how designs translate into code.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly. Knowledge of WCAG standards and best practices for accessibility.

The pay range for this position is $121,700.00 – $173,800.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
