Job description: Job Title: Fiber DesignerResponsibilities Include
- Develop and design detailed OSP system layouts, including route analysis, fiber optic cable placement, pole line and underground conduit systems, and other related infrastructure
- Telecom design and documentation of OSP and Fiber design, documentation, specifications, and construction administration
- Perform field surveys and site visits to collect data and assess potential construction challenges
- Create detailed drawings and maps using GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software
- Work closely with municipal authorities and other utility services to obtain necessary permits and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Monitor project progress, providing updates and adjustments to designs as needed to address field changes or challenges
- Analyze and select appropriate materials and technologies to optimize network performance and cost-efficiency
- Partnering with designers for final drawings and calculations
