Field Service Engineers are customer oriented, an advocate for Thermo Fisher Scientific, and eager to drive growth. The candidate should have knowledge and understanding of the principles and applications of or . High Resolution ICPMS products include Thermo Fisher instruments Neptune, Element, Triton & 253/271 Ultra.Territory: up to 80% throughout the United States; ideal candidate would live within 1 hr of a major airport. There is ONE position that is posted in multiple locations.Discover Impactful Work:As a Field Service Engineer, you are responsible for handling all aspects of field service support and customer relationship management including but not limited to installation, repair, preventative maintenance and providing details reports to the customer. You will also coordinate supplies and work with the Service Team to deliver technical expertise to customers with high-quality results to ensure high-customer satisfaction.A day in the Life:Perform on-site installation, repair, and preventative maintenance services.Ensure customer happiness through excellence in repair and support of customers’ products.Maintain communication with customer to ensure understanding of status, cost, and scheduling service events.Provide rapid, courteous, and knowledgeable response to all customers’ inquiries.Must be proficient with the use of customer management software to supervise service calls, handle parts inventories, and complete job tasks.Schedule and deliver detailed preventative maintenance service to ensure maximum uptime of customer equipment.Reviews reports and documentation from customers and inspects malfunctioning product to resolve nature and scope of problem.Regularly attend factory provided technical and service training on newest and latest chromatography and MS products developed by Thermo Fisher Scientific.Provide accurate and timely completion of quality training, service reports, expense reports, company provided car maintenance and mileage reporting, as well as other various administrative tasks.Other duties may be assignedKeys to Success:EducationMinimum education requirement is a BS degree in Physical Sciences, Engineering, Electronics, or related field.ExperienceMinimum of 5 years hands-on experience operating analytical equipment, i.e. chromatography and mass spectrometryKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesMust have valid driver licenseAbility to travel up to 100% overnight domestic travelAbility to work overtime and/or outside regular business hoursPhysical Requirements / Work EnvironmentRegularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally 100+ pounds with lifting teamBenefitsWe offer competitive remuneration, annual incentive plan bonus, healthcare, and a range of employee benefits.
