You will be based remotely, working as part of a larger support team.You will be in direct contact with system partners, commissioning engineers and end-users. As a member of the technical support level, you will be expected to answer calls, escalate calls when needed, provide installation information and other commonly requested documents, to triage issues for other level 2/3 support engineers.How you will do itAs level 1 technical support, you will provide product support information to North American, direct and indirect partners. You will support Sofware dongle license generation for our partners in EU and APAC regions. You will do this using company produced software tools to provide solution on site or remotely as per partner requirements.Use of Salesforce to handle and track cases.Answer calls in first line support.Escalate calls when required.Provide commonly requested supporting documents and information.Product specific training will be provided to support constant personal professional development.What we look forRequiredBachelor’s degree in electrical/electronic or relevant experience in fire or security industryPrevious fire detection industry within Simplex or Auto call is an advantage but not essential.Working knowledge of fire detection and voice alarm design system is an advantage.Good verbal and written command of the English language, (other languages an advantage)An ability to work under own direction with personal responsibility.General awareness of currents industry trendsUnderstanding of and the application of NFPA and UL standards an advantageSolid business communication skills, with an ability to report movements and meeting notes.Ability to identify need for and develop, processes and supporting materials.Well-versed in MS Office, Salesforce, in company own or 3rd party diagnostics tools.We are looking for the right candidate who is customer focused, who come across as confident, can work in a collaborative environment, has resilience and can work under pressure.Ability to work for limited periods outside normal business hours when circumstances dictate.Johnson Controls International plc. is an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, protected veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a qualified individual with a disability or any other characteristic protected by law.
