We are seeking a GIS Technical Specialist to join our team. As a GIS Technical Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintain our Gas Distribution infrastructure.
You will collaborate with various departments such as front-line field operations and Gas constructions, Reporting and Analytical team, Utility technologies as well as Asset Strategy.
As an entry level position, work will be performed under supervision of the GIS supervisor.Job Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the GIS connected model with information on gas facilities from sources including, but not limited to, work management systems, as-built construction drawings and LocusView
- Assist with GIS field collection processes utilizing Survey123, ArcGIS Field Maps, Locusview, Salesforce or other related data collection technologies.
- Assemble data and prepare maps from asset information contained in the connected model and various other data sources.
- Perform system testing for enhancements/issues.
- Carry out spatial analysis tasks.
- Participate in field visits for LocusView training and troubleshooting with bargaining unit personnel.
- Process improvement including development, deployment, and periodic reviews.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite and possess the ability to use it productively.

- Perform field visit and technical support.

Job Specific QualificationsRequired:
- High School Diploma
- 0-2 years of experience in GIS within the ESRI desktop GIS applications (ArcMap 10.x,ArcGIS Pro); or an equivalent Utility or Construction related education, training, working experiences
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite and possess the ability to use it productively (Power Point, Excel & MS word)
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
Preferred:
- Experience in ArcGIS Pro and Arcmap 10.x
- Experience in working with ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise systems.
- Experience with Locusview
- Experience with Salesforce product
- Familiarity with civil design and utility networks
- Gas Distribution or equivalent Construction experiences
- Knowledge of utilizing other systems and tools (e.g. SAP, SAP – Business Warehouse, Microsoft PowerBI, Salesforce, SharePoint,).
