This position will be part of the regional HR team and have responsibility working directly with staff and leadership in Chicago, Minneapolis, and Detroit of 300+ people to support all aspects of human resource & talent management services. This is an opportunity to design, lead and promote strategic HR initiatives in a cutting edge, client-focused environment.*This role is not remote, we look forward to working with our new HR Business Partner in our incredible .What You Will DoAct as thought partner to studio leadership and develop talent strategies aligned to business objectivesManage all aspects of employee relations issues and investigations by partnering with leadershipOversee the assessment of talent gaps & needs to ensure roles are filled with the appropriate internal/external talent considerationsFacilitate global mobility of employees with transfer, relocation, and visa processingSupport full lifecycle of the employee from on-boarding, engagement, development, exit, and retirementManage Gensler special recognition programsAdvise leadership regarding compensation and reward programsAnalyzes talent data, reports, metrics to inform talent decisionsAssist in developing performance management tools, formalizing succession planning, and proactively developing staff and leadershipImplements talent development and training programs and processes in partnership with Talent Development ManagerPartner with HR team colleagues to create and innovate HR practices and programsPartner with shared services staff to deliver best in class people solutions & servicesYour QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related area required7 + years of Human Resources experience; (3+ years at manager level)Working knowledge of employment law and compliance regulations at federal, state and local levelsExperience working in a Professional Services environmentExcellent organizational skills; attention to detailAdvanced MS Office proficiency preferred, particularly Excel/Power Point; In-Design, a plusExperience with Workday preferredAbility to produce timely deliverables and manage multiple and shifting priorities in a dynamic environmentAbility to work independently, navigate and maintain productivity in a matrix environmentExcellent communication skills (verbal and written) requiredStrong customer service orientation, a team player with the ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationshipsPHR/SPHR certification or equivalent preferredLife at GenslerAt Gensler, we are as committed to enjoying life as we are to delivering best-in-class design.
