For this role, we are open to remote work and can hire anywhere in the United States or CanadaAbout the opportunityAs a Principal HR Business Partner, you will serve as a strategic advisor and key consultant within the COO Organization, elevating the role of HR in shaping business outcomes. You will leverage your extensive experience to proactively address the complex needs of our business functions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Your expertise will drive initiatives in workforce planning, talent management, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness, while fostering a culture of engagement and development. As a cultural ambassador, you will collaborate with leaders and employees to enhance the employee experience and cultivate a high-performing workforce.What you’ll get to do

  • Collaborate with senior leaders to define, implement, and execute HR strategies that align with business objectives, building trusted relationships across all levels.
  • Oversee employee relations initiatives, providing guidance on policy interpretation and enforcement, conducting thorough investigations and partner with Employee Relations where needed; resolve conflicts effectively to foster a positive workplace.
  • Enhance organizational effectiveness by identifying opportunities for improvement, influencing performance outcomes, and driving employee engagement initiatives.
  • Work closely with Centers of Excellence to optimize people resources and ensure alignment with business needs, creating synergies that drive success.
  • Lead and support change management efforts within the organization, designing processes that equip employees for transformation and ongoing evolution.
  • Analyze workforce trends and dynamics, proactively recommending actions to management to address emerging concerns or patterns affecting employee satisfaction and business performance.
  • Mentor and coach leaders on talent management, succession planning, and effective leadership practices to cultivate a robust pipeline of future leaders.

Skills and experience we value

  • 10+ years of HR experience, with at least 7 years in a Business Partner capacity, demonstrating advanced strategic HR expertise.
  • In-depth knowledge of core HR management areas, including staffing, employee relations, performance management, and leadership development.
  • Proven experience influencing and partnering with senior executives and leadership teams.
  • Strong background in talent management and succession planning.
  • Exceptional ability to navigate complex decision-making, delivering difficult messages with professionalism and poise.
  • Consultative style with a track record of developing credible relationships across diverse teams.
  • Highly adaptable to dynamic business environments, demonstrating resilience in ambiguous situations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering trust and collaboration at all organizational levels.
  • Comprehensive experience in managing a variety of employee relations issues with sensitivity and discretion.
  • Proactive mindset with exceptional follow-through skills, anticipating and addressing business needs effectively.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks efficiently, demonstrating strong time management and organizational skills.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in all interactions.
  • Solid understanding of employment laws, with multi-jurisdiction experience preferred.
