Job description: Job Description:KESQ News Channel 3 is seeking an intuitive Human Resources professional to join our talented team. We’re looking for someone who has all the important and necessary traits: excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.We are The Desert’s News Leader, covering Coachella Valley and the desert area. There is a strong team of talented and passionate people dedicated to serving our community and they need your help to do it.This position is on-site (not remote) and requires some flexibility in schedule when deadlines need to be met.Essential Functions:
- Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
- Coordinate new hire onboarding, including preparing offer letters, conducting orientations, and ensuring a smooth integration into the company.
- Serve as a point of contact for employees and provide support on HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- Assist in resolving employee issues and conflicts in a fair and consistent manner.
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs.
- Coordinate open enrollment and communicate benefits information to employees.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases.
- Prepare and submit required reports, including FCC EEO annual reporting, and other compliance-related documents.
- Support the development and implementation of training programs and initiatives.
- Coordinate logistics for training sessions, workshops, and seminars.
- Coordinate bi-weekly payroll collection and processing with the corporate payroll department.
- Additional Responsibilities: Follow and abide by all safety guidelines and policies and report any safety concerns to your supervisor(s) or Human Resources.
