We offer career opportunities where you can contribute and grow.Build your future with usOur IT Department is currently seeking a service management engineer to support ITSM modules and discovery tools (e.g. change management, incident management, asset management, CMDB, etc.).Starting pay: The pay range for this position is $65,000 – $110,000 annually. The pay determination is based on the applicant’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.Be ready to:
- support the Helix and entire ITSM applications suite (i.e. Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Service Level Management, Configuration Management, Asset Management, etc.)
- develop and maintain service maps and product catalog
- perform application and service mapping activities with development groups and capture servers, functional components, triggers to identify each component, identification of other applications that impact the target business application/service
- import of CMDB data using the Discovery tool for auto discovery of CI’s and mapping the staging dataset to production golden dataset through normalization and reconciliation process.
- maintain user accounts and optimal license configuration
- responsible for post-production maintenance and support of the product.
- develop consuming and publishing web services using WSDL, SOAP, XML, REST to establish communication between Helix and external system
- import of CMDB data using the Discovery tool for auto discovery of CI’s and mapping the staging dataset to production
- handle performance tuning
- interact with BMC and internal teams to solve critical issues
QualificationsBe equipped with:
- knowledge of all the ITSM modules and the Discovery tool
- manage all ITSM application administration needs and provided application support to a large organization.
- able to gather, analyze and document requirements and design specifications within ITIL framework and industry best practices
- actively participate as team member in planning, designing and implementing ITSM modules
Preferred experience:
- ITIL V4 Certified Professional
- Helix administration experience
- experience with supporting Helix ITSM (Incident, Problem, Change, Asset, Knowledge, Service Level, and Service Request Management) 8.x or higher
- analyze enhancement and customization requests
- experience with supporting BMC Helix Smart Reporting, BMC Smart IT, BMC Digital Workplace (MyIT), BMC Discovery, BMC Helix Single Sign-On
- experience in advanced troubleshooting (e.g. Server logs, plugin logs, etc.)
- experienced BMC Migration and Import Tool
- experienced in using Spoon
- advanced data analysis skills including Standard Query Language (SQL)
