The HRBP will act as a consultant to the business on human resources-related issues, build strong relationships with employees, and help drive HR initiatives and programs to support the organization’s goals.Where You’ll Work:This role will be based out of our Concord, MA headquarters, the hub of our family-farmer owned manufacturing company. Immerse yourself in a dynamic workplace where innovation thrives and collaboration is key.Our company in-office schedule is designed to maximize collaboration & relationship building balanced with flexibility and well-being with 3 days in office and Thursdays/Friday being remote, flex days.***Welch’s is moving to a brand new, state of the art space in Waltham, MA June 2025***What You’ll Do:
- Be the first point of contact for employees and people managers who need support and guidance on policies, procedures, and other inquiries.
- Consult with all levels of leadership and advise on performance management/PIP matters to ensure business success.
- Provide coaching on employee relations and recommendations on preventative measures to align with the organization’s high-performance culture.
- Partner with hiring managers to lead recruitment efforts and ensure the selection of high-quality candidates.
- Collaborate with the People & Culture COEs to execute HR initiatives and programs for corporate functions and manufacturing plants.
- Identify training needs for business units and individuals, participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success, and follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
- Coach and educate managers on People & Culture initiatives, annual processes, and act as change agents to support them.
- Conducts stay and exit interviews, listening to employee feedback and providing guidance to leaders.
- Guide employee engagement at business unit level and consult on strategies and methods for success.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices to minimize and mitigate risk exposure.
Who You Are:
- HR generalist experience in the areas of employee relations, talent acquisition, training and development, performance management, and employment laws
- Strong listening, relationship building and collaboration skills; models transparency and accountability
- Communicates key messages directly and concisely through verbal and written methods
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to balance multiple deliverables with a high sense of urgency and quality
What You’ll Need:
- BA/BS degree required. An equivalent combination of education and experience that proves ability to perform role may be considered.
- 3-5 years’ experience in Human Resources with focus on employee relations, performance management, policy governance and manager coaching
- Knowledge of federal and state labor laws
- Extensive working knowledge of employee relations principles, practices, and procedures
- Strong stakeholder management with ability to impact and influence different areas of the organization
