- Responsibilities will include reviewing open patient account balance and following up with Insurance companies and/or patient to secure payment for services rendered.
- The representative will need to review the accounts and have a good understanding on how claims are processed.
- Must understand what an explanation of benefits is and be able to understand circumstances of denials, billing modification requirements, coverage and general information.
Requirements:
- Preferably 2 years of experience in a medical business office environment with a focus on billing and or customer service.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office a must
- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.
- Excellent phone etiquette, good follow-up and follow through skills a must
Insurance Follow Up Representative Hours:Flexible work schedule:
