- Administer large-scale immunoassay testing on service member urine or body fluids to detect drugs of abuse.
- Perform calibration, preventive maintenance, and diagnostic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
- Maintain maintenance records, logs, charts and graphs.
- Call in medical equipment maintenance personnel when malfunctions occur.

One year of specialized experience which includes performing calibration, preventative maintenance and diagnostic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment; administering immunoassay tests to identify drugs of abuse; and maintaining quality control data and preventative maintenance records. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).OREducation: Four-year course of study leading to a bachelor’s degree with a major study or at least 24 semester hours in subjects directly related to the position, such as Chemistry, Microbiology, or other Biological Science disciplines.ORCombination of Education and Experience: : A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
