Get in touch with us if you are looking to be a part of creating hope for a healthy future in many people’s lives.National Field Medical Head, Oncology – USA (remote)BNT Oncology US National Field Medical Head – Job DescriptionAs the Oncology US National Field Medical head, you will be aligned with our Global Medical Affairs Field Team to build, develop, and provide strategic and operational leadership to our industry-leading team of US MSLs responsible for engaging the oncology community and advancing our life changing therapies.This position ensures that we will accomplish best-in-class medical strategies and drive execution across all field medical initiatives, including medical education, clinical trial recruitment, partnerships, insights generation, publications planning, and internal alignment. Your vision and influence will shape the medical impact we make in oncology today and in the future.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and performance of Regional MSL Directors and Medical Science Liaisons
- Orchestrate the end-to-end development and delivery of the US medical engagement and launch strategy and operating plan in alignment with global medical affairs team and medical heads.
- Develop tactical plans across multiple therapeutic areas, in alignment with medical strategy and overall company objective
- Lead, mentor and inspire a high-performing team of Regional MSL directors and MSLs.
- Cultivate partnerships with external stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders such as R&D, HEOR, access, commercial e.g. to bring forward new evidence generation opportunities and to drive execution of the therapeutic area strategies
- Provide medical review and input on all US field medical activities, ensuring compliance and alignment to company values and policies.
Candidate Requirements:
- PhD, PharmD or MD/DO with 10-15 years of experience in field medical (incl. 5+ years as regional lead) and US medical affairs strategy in solid tumor oncology, preferably experience with modalities in our clinical pipeline (antibody-drug conjugates, immune checkpoint modulators, cancer vaccines, cell therapies)
- Science- and data-driven, analytical mindset. Capable to understand and convey the scientific and clinical vision that we have for each of our products.
- Experience in Product Launch Development and Execution.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities.
- Success building internal & external partnerships and leading remote field teams.
- Experienced in clinical research processes, healthcare compliance, and field team dynamics, performance, and impact assessment.
- Proficiency with remote collaboration tools such as MS Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and other Office 365 applications
- This is a field-based role – willingness for heavy national travel (up to 80%)
