The Show Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the transportation of customer merchandise to and from major shows throughout the U.S. (approximately 200 major and minor shows annually). In addition the Show Coordinator is responsible for being the main point of contact for all internal company departments and for ensuring that all related security and operational protocols are followed prior to, during and after each show takes place.Key Responsibilities:

  • Make arrangements for Brink’s Global Services to participate in industry shows
  • Coordinate the overall security, including pick-up and delivery (through the Brink’s network City Markets), of merchandise at shows
  • Respond to all client inquiries on dates, Brink’s services, rates and products; quote prices on all show-related material
  • Solicit present and potential customers for upcoming domestic shows; develop sales presentations, close sales, develop and propose Special Rate Plans, promote At-Show Insurance
  • Travel to various cities where major shows are taking place, set up and work show, prepare documentation
  • Close down the show and assist in loading trucks and preparing documentation
  • Consult with international jewelers regarding information and special clauses of At-Show Insurance; advise all customers (internal/external) on US customs policies for imports bound for US shows; manage and resolve all service complaints diplomatically, escalating when necessary
  • Generate customer invoices, including At-Show Insurance; responds to affiliate inquiries on billing
  • Arrange for credit to customers when applicable; contacts customers with outstanding balances
  • Cross-train and perform other duties as assigned
  • Work closely with Sales, Brokerage, Operations and Security as well as location operational teams to ensure the efficient and safe delivery of customer liability to and from the shows as well as the safe movement of personnel.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three (3) years total professional experience in Logistics and/or freight forwarding operations or similar transferrable internal BGS experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in convention/trade show or event/meeting planning or similar transferrable internal BGS experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with Microsoft Office and related software programs.
  • Be able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Be 21 years of age

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent knowledge of meeting industry terminology and comprehensive knowledge of meeting planning processes
  • Knowledge of BITS and GARCIA
  • Demonstrated ability to self-start as well as work as part of a team
  • High level of professionalism
  • Experience in the Freight or Secured Logistics/Transportation Business
  • Bachelor’s degree
