Find out how far your passion can take you.About The JobThe People and Organization Partner (Human Resources Generalist) works in close collaboration with the North American Human Resources team and company business leaders to implement HR related projects and initiatives. Reporting into the North America HR Business Partner Director, this role has a significant focus on Employee Relations and HR projects and will also provide insight and solutions that add value and advance the retention and engagement objectives of Brightly. The right candidate will add value by conducting investigations and recommending solutions to various and complex issues. - Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations issues. Address and resolve requests, concerns, and inquiries
- Participate in internal investigations when complaints or concerns are brought forth. Escalate complex issues to HR leadership as appropriate
- Conduct all North American exit interviews and facilitate follow-up feedback and coaching sessions with management. Escalate constructive feedback to HR or business leadership when needed
- Communicate key themes from exit interviews and employee interactions to the HR team to inform employee engagement work and opportunity areas
- Partner closely with Managers navigating Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) and Warnings, offering templates, guidance, and recommendations throughout the process
- Assist in the development and implementation of personnel, compliance and leave policies and procedures with a keen eye for simplifying HR jargon for employee consumption
- Work closely with the Brightly Benefits Analyst in the administration of FMLA and Non-FMLA leaves, including informing employees of their rights under FMLA, STD, and other Brightly policies and guidelines
- Collaborate with the Training and Content team to create value-add training, guides, and templates for Management working through performance management, leave, employee relations, and other personnel scenarios
- Partner with HR team to process employee file changes, terminations, resignations, etc. in the HRIS system
- Spend time getting to know employees across all functions, learn about the unique challenges and opportunities within each team
- Other projects and initiatives as needed
What You Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of HR Specialist/Generalist experience with heavy interest in employee relations
- Comfort navigating in the gray, listening to multiple perspectives, and making sound judgement calls based on best practice, precedence, or legal requirements when necessary
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a talent for balancing concise summaries of key investigation findings verbally while creating detail oriented, fact-driven, non-editorial write-ups for documentation purposes
- Superior professionalism with a clear understanding of what is HR confidential and what can be shared more openly
- High comfort level in providing respectful pushback, challenging outdated ways of thinking or managing
- Experience in Paylocity, Workday, or other similar HRIS tools
- Technical competence to quickly pick up a diverse HR tool set used for employee recognition, surveys, and communication
- Competence in the Microsoft suite of productivity tools
