Write the next chapter of your ABB story.This position reports toUS HRCOE Compliance MangerYour role and responsibilitiesThe HR Compliance: Prevailing Wage Coordinator, reporting to the US HRCOE Compliance Manger, is a dynamic and tactical role targeting someone with specialized experience and the desire to grow and make an impact on a business. This role will be specialized in the Davis Bacon and Prevailing Wage Acts, and assist the business in the applicability of prevailing wage. Being heavily customer facing and collaborative with business leaders within ABB, this role will be able to make a tremendous impact for the organization. This is an exciting opportunity to build in a global organization, and will provide growth and challenges to a driven professional. This role is open to both candidates in the Cary, NC area as well as remote. You will be mainly accountable for: – Keeping abreast of Federal and State laws and other relevant information including Davis-Bacon and Service Contract Act wage determination – Completing understanding and full administration of “Bona-Fide” fringe benefits under DBRA, including life insurance, health insurance, pension, vacation, etc – Assisting the HR Compliance Government Team of consultants and advisors by reviewing contracts, prevailing wage, labor conformance, and associated obligations – Performing certified payroll processing; managing, overseeing and ensuring completion of weekly certified payroll via Points North Software – Create functional/technical specs, training guides, SOPs and process documentationQualifications for the role

  • Bachelor’s degree with three years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Three or more years of experience with: certified payrolls, prevailing wage compliance, and government contracts
  • In-depth functional experience with data validation, federal and state compliance regulations.
  • Proven background in problem solving and partnership in a global environment
  • Self-starter and ability to work independently but also collaborate across teams.
  • Experience providing support for over 10,000+ employees
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of payroll related information
  • Understanding of pay calculations, pay standards and wage and hour laws
  • Solid understanding of payroll processes and data flows between HR, Payroll, Benefits & Compensation
  • Excellent Stakeholder management/ Customer Experience Skills
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $61,900 and $115,100 annually.
