  • Duties described below are at the highest grade advertised. Duties assigned at lower grade levels will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity; duties will be commensurate with the grade of selected employee.
  • Pilot the development, planning, and execution of internal and external communication strategies for the Directorate, including innovative storytelling methods.
  • Act as the Directorate Kennedy Action Tracking System (KATS) administrator providing creation, monitoring, tracking, reporting and repository functions for processing action requests at all organizational levels.
  • Act as a liaison between Offices/Divisions and the Front Office, ensuring clear communication and understanding by clarifying action requests.
  • Review and disseminate the Employee Viewpoint Survey (EVS) data through coordination with EVS Manager, Office Chief, and the SA Front Office.
  • Support and foster organizational team-building activities, such as all hands, social events, employee engagement initiatives, and special events.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of special projects and new initiatives.
  • Act as Co-Chair for Safety and Health Days by developing, coordinating, and disseminating of all events and their communications, including webpage updates, videos, and graphics.

  • This is a bargaining unit position – American Federation of Government Employees – Local 513.
  • This position may require a one-year trial period.

QualificationsSpecialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.To qualify for GS-09 level, you must have:
a) One year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level:

  • Assisting with administering, operating, and monitoring office related business systems;
  • Participating in the planning, organizing, and/or communication efforts of organizational activities such as all hands, social events, team-building activities, etc.;
  • Utilizing multiple data sources to assist with financial or resource reports that identify financial and resource needs.

OR
b) Completed all requirements for a master’s or equivalent graduate degree in an appropriate field
OR
c) Completed 2 full academic years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master’s degree or equivalent graduate degree in an appropriate field
OR
d) LL. B or J.D, if related
OR
e) Have an equivalent combination of experience and graduate study as discussed in a), b), c) and d) aboveTo qualify for GS-11, you must have:
a) One year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level:

  • Assisting with evaluating the ability of a plan, project, or program to meet the budget or resource metrics;
  • Assisting in the analysis of business operations to improve or facilitate organizational human capital, workforce planning, or other similar personnel program areas;
  • Assisting in preparing reports and communicating data to various customers.

b) Completed all requirements for a doctoral degree (i.e., Ph.D. or equivalent) in an appropriate field
OR
c) Completed 3 full academic years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or equivalent doctoral degree in an appropriate field
OR
d) LL.M., if related
OR
e) Have an equivalent combination of experience and graduate study as discussed in a), b), c) and d) aboveTo qualify for GS-12, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level:

  • Communicating findings with internal and external customers and providing recommendations to management;
