Serco is seeking a talented Program Manager to join the onsite government program office at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio (No telework/remote work at this location). Join the Serco team and discover your place in our world!This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain/transfer an active DoD Secret security clearance.This position supports the Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Program Office (PNT PO) with cutting edge modernization / development, and ongoing sustainment of a variety of GPS receivers and user equipment to meet DoD and national-level priorities.In this role, you will:

  • Duties include supporting the identification, documentation, and implementation of acquisition and sustainment related activities to plan, develop and implement program strategies across multiple OTA, MTA, and ACAT programs; and milestone preparation and documentation.
  • Liaison work with other AFLCMC Program Offices, and operational units across DoD involved with GPS/PNT modernization activities.
  • Provide expertise in support of the overall project lead, Integrated Product Teams, conferences, and meetings.
  • Responsible for providing acquisition management support services to ensure the delivery of acquisition services in support of the customer’s mission. Services include some or all of the following:
  • Develop new approaches to resolve challenges/problems and support the implementation of acquisition strategies for assigned projects.
  • Evaluate program and mission requirements to establish detailed objectives and integrate these activities with other program and functional elements within the program office and outside organizations.
  • Implement courses of action by preparing and drafting/reviewing detailed acquisition plans, development and production schedules, engineering change proposals, and design studies.
  • Perform contractor-designated activities for assigned projects and identify problem areas for potential further study and evaluation.
  • Assist with defending the program position at program reviews, conferences, and other functions by providing higher level management with status and decision information on assigned programs/projects.

  • A U.S. citizenship
  • An active DoD Secret security clearance
  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • or an Associate’s degree & 2 years of related experience.
  • Experience with defense acquisition management processes (DoD 5000 series, MTA, and/or OTA directives)
  • Participated in development, coordination, and execution of major program milestones (preferably ACAT 1 but ACAT II/III acceptable)
  • A clear understanding of the OSD and USAF Acquisition organization
  • An excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • The ability to travel 10%

Additional desired skills and qualifications:

  • Masters Degree
  • Top Secret Clearance
  • Level II DAWIA Certification (Acquisition Program Manager)
  • 4 years acquisition experience supporting weapon system Program Office
  • Experience with GPS systems, electronics, and/or aircraft integration
