We will only consider remote applicants residing in the following US states â AL, AZ, CT, DE, FL, GA, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, MI, NC, PA, RI, SC, VA, WV, and WI.Position SummaryThe Remote Epic IT Project Engineer (PMP and Epic certified) has the primary responsibility of Information Technology (IT) project management utilizing the domains of project management including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring/controlling and closing for IT Epic projects. The Remote Epic IT Project Engineer coordinates projects and manages the project team through the project life cycle to implement projects that positively impact and achieve sustainable results that support the healthcare systemsâ strategic goals. The Epic PE I collaborates and communicates directly with all levels of staff and senior leadership both internally and externally to the healthcare system. The Remote Epic IT Project Engineer works independently at an expertise computer skill level while successfully managing multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment. They are responsible for obtaining and maintaining in-depth knowledge of software functionality/integrations and acquiring/utilizing knowledge of the operational workflows implemented with the Epic system.Key abilities for this role include:

Minimum RequirementsEducation
- Associate Degree or higher education
Experience
- 7 years of Healthcare experience
- 3 years IT Epic specific experience
- Must have documented completion of at least one successful Epic implementation
License/Registration/Certifications
- PMP Certification
- Epic Certification in a minimum of one application
Preferred RequirementsPreferred Education
- Bachelorâs Degree in Computer Science, Healthcare or related field
Preferred Experience
- 10 years of Healthcare or IT experience
- 5 Years Epic specific experience
- Completed two or more successful Epic implementation

- Combined ownership with project team of escalations to functional and portfolio managers regarding project issues, statuses, resource constraints, etc.
- Coordinates projects and interdependencies.
- Manages and utilizes resources across projects; works with functional managers to ensure resource availability.
- Knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures.
- Ability to find innovative ways to resolve issues.
- Monitors project progress to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
- Monitors stakeholder satisfaction.
- Sets deadlines based on project teamâs input.
- Working knowledge and handling of project management methodology and techniques; utilizes domains of project management: Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring/Controlling and Closing.
- Works with the project requestor to identify the project goals and scope to create a project charter that outlines high-level tasks, timelines and resources required.
- Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation
- Evaluates project performance; measures performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques.
- Attends conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency in project management, Epic certifications, etc.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Lead planning and execution of go-live and post-live support.
