Job description: We are seeking a critical thinker and skilled multi-tasker to join our team as a Junior HR Generalist at our Title Company in Irvine. In this role, you will execute specialized and administrative tasks within our human resource program, providing high-level support to management and advising leadership on the development and implementation of HR plans and policies. This position encompasses a broad range of HR administrative functions, including traditional HR responsibilities.This is a temp-to-hire opportunity starting immediately.Essential Job Functions:
- Promote the company culture by emphasizing engagement through our 4 Cs, ensuring a commitment to quality work and high performance.
- Administer various HR plans and procedures for all personnel, assisting in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain the policies and procedures manual.
- Oversee the complete employee life cycle, including drafting offer letters/agreements, managing new hire paperwork and background checks, onboarding new employees, enforcing HR policies, and conducting voluntary and involuntary terminations.
- Conduct recruitment activities for all exempt and non-exempt positions, including drafting job advertisements, preparing offers of employment, and facilitating orientations.
- Provide employee relations counseling and conduct exit interviews to gather valuable feedback.
- Collaborate with line management to provide HR guidance as needed.
- Establish and maintain comprehensive personnel records for all employees.
- Participate in defining departmental goals, objectives, and systems to enhance overall performance.
- Communicate benefits information to employees and collaborate with the benefits specialist to assist with reporting and changes affecting carrier invoices.
- Assist in preparing various reports, including annual EEO-1 Reports, Vets 100 reports, and compliance testing.
- Recommend new strategies, policies, and procedures to improve departmental efficiency and service quality.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment regulations.
- Conduct research in designated areas as requested and complete special assignments such as departmental audits and acquisitions.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in HR preferred.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to take initiative, negotiate effectively, and influence others.
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities, with a focus on confidentiality.
- Proven capacity to communicate effectively across all organizational levels, especially with senior managers and key decision-makers.
- In-depth understanding of U.S. employment and payroll laws.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and other software systems.
