Learn more about our and how you can bring it to life as an Ameris Bank teammate.The Senior HR Solutions Specialist is responsible for administration of a high-volume HR help desk, which includes responding to basic and moderately complex HR questions, including but not limited to eligibility and enrollment inquiries regarding employee benefit programs, payroll and attendance, Leaves of Absence, and HRIS platform access. Acts as liaison for colleagues with benefit providers with issues concerning claim payments, covered services, etc. Assists with 401(k) administration and the annual open enrollment process. Administrates the Workers Compensation Claims process, FMLA, ADA Medical Accommodation and other types of leave processes. Performs other projects and duties as assigned.Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:· Handles administration of high-volume HR help desk, handling routine communication from/to employees and managers. Coordinates response from other team members as needed.· Administers 401(k) enrollment communications for new hires.· Oversees the 401(k) delinquent loan payment reports to bring colleagues’ payments current.· Handles administration of Workers Compensation Claims, to include incident reports, tracking and record keeping.· Handles retiree benefits administration and monthly reconciliation of COBRA/Retiree benefit and Flexible Spending Account statements.· Oversees benefits enrollment process for New Hires and Qualified Life Events.· Handles monthly processing of Qualified Life Events of dependents attaining age 26.· Handles administration of Labor Law Posters by handling orders for new locations, tracks receipt and posting of updated posters.· Completes quarterly ACA lookback to identify and address potential challenges with hours worked.· Works to understand the root cause(s) of complex benefit issues. Identifies and implements resolutions, proactively communicating with impacted colleague(s) and/or management.· Communicates directly with benefit providers to assist colleagues with concerns regarding claims and coverage.· Maintains knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal and state laws/regulations affecting Human Resources.· Completes verifications of Employment for teammates.· Adds Officer Numbers to HRIS as directed.· Submits invoices to Accounts Payable system for payments to vendors.· Updates HR page on intranet with benefits related documents.· Administers and ensures compliance with FMLA and other types of leave, including documentation collection and review, ensuring time off is correctly recorded and tracked, and proactive communication with colleagues and their managers throughout the process.· Works to understand payroll (time management related) and benefit issues. Identifies and implements resolutions, proactively communicating with impacted colleague(s) and/or management or directing emails to the appropriate HR Representative.· Assists with the annual benefit open enrollment period.· Responsible for processing life and long-term disability claims, ensuring beneficiary information aligns with record on file and required documentation is provided.· Administers Short Term Leave Benefits to qualified colleagues.· Handles HRIS User Administration (i.e. password resets).Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:· Able to provide a high level of interactive services to others, building relationships and addressing identified needs.· Intermediate proficiency in PC and Microsoft Office Suite products.· Ability to navigate software is knowledgeable in HRIS platforms.· Able to be flexible and supportive, react swiftly and positively to changes and proactively assimilate in a rapid paced environment.· Able to effectively and persuasively express self, using language and grammar in a professional manner.· Strong written and verbal communication skills.· Ability to plan, schedule and organize to achieve strategic goals within or ahead of established time frames.· Ability to work independently and is dependable to accomplish tasks without follow up.· High customer service skills.· Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence others without having direct reporting relationships.Industry and Work Experience:· Minimum of 2 years HR related experience required.· 6+ years of HR or Administrative Assistant experience preferred.Academic:· High school diploma or GED required.· Bachelor’s degree preferred.· PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferredBenefits Available to Employees:Ameris Bank provides a comprehensive employee benefit package to all eligible employees.
