Our more than 4,000 diverse, passionately committed team members in New York City and around the world work collectively to achieve our conservation mission.Job SummaryThe Senior HRIS/HR Operations and Reporting Analyst plays a crucial role in processing, managing and reporting on HR employee related data along with enhancing and optimizing the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and other HR related systems. The Senior Analyst will build and leverage analytics across the employee life-cycle.This role will be responsible for proactively developing and generating insightful reports identifying trends, patterns and supporting data-driven decision-making within the organization. The necessary skills involve a combination of technical expertise, analytical skills, business, organizational and HR knowledge to ensure the accurate collection, categorization, and analysis of HR data. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance and automate HR systems and processes, troubleshoot issues, and provide meaningful insights through well-structured reports. Attention to detail and analytical thinking is critical in this role. Also, critical to success in this role is an understanding of the end-to-end employee life-cycle, key workforce metrics and analytics, as well as an ability to partner closely with the HRBP and COE teams to interpret the data and explain its significance.Major ResponsibilitiesHuman Resources Information System
- Drive implementation and maintenance of HRIS platform(s), ensuring data accuracy, system functionality, and security. Play a key role in requirements gathering, testing and testing strategy for new releases and/or implementations for our HR related systems (HCM, ATS, etc.)
- Develop processes for periodic HR system updates: review and communicate updates, create and execute testing plan and test cases, working with end users for training, testing and rollout.
Data Processing and Management
- Responsibility for timely and efficient collection, verification, processing and management of employee data throughout the employee life-cycle into the HRIS working closely with payroll and the HR Business Partner teams to implement data quality control measures to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity by assisting in audits on all data processed, proactively capturing issues.
Reporting and Analytics
- Proactively develop and generate HR related reports, dashboards, and metrics to provide insights on workforce trends, turnover, recruitment, diversity, and other relevant HR KPIs integrating data across various platforms.
- Ensure a solid understanding of data across all WCS HR related systems and research existing or new reporting solutions that can be leveraged across the organization
- Develop interactive, visually compelling dashboards and digestible reports to effectively communicate complex data in an understandable manner
- Identify patterns and trends in HR data to support strategic decision-making and help drive continuous improvement in HR processes and audit data for accuracy in reporting
- Assists/supports in compliance reporting and activities
Process Enhancements
- Collaborate with HR team members to identify opportunities for process improvement, innovation and automation within the HRIS and/or other HR related systems, forms, etc.
- Propose and implement enhancements and innovative solutions to streamline data workflows, reduce manual effort, and increase data accuracy
- Research methods to drive various methods of innovation in processes and automation
Other Responsibilities
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners across the globe to support the employee life-cycle while being and advocate for change and promoting innovation
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies and innovative solutions related to HRIS and reporting
Qualification Requirements
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree
- 4-6 years work experience
- Global Experience is a plus
- Proven experience working with HRIS platforms, data management, and report generation and audits
- Experience with Workday a plus
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, proactively identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI and data reporting and visualization tools and/or languages
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate and work in a team environment
- Ability to navigate and present to all levels of the organization
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues in a timely manner
- Ability to work well under pressure and adjust to changing priorities
- Superior attention to detail, strong data management skills and ability to manage highly confidential information
