Job description: Fragment Media Group is hiring a full time remote Senior Software Engineer to work on multiple WordPress sites for a rapidly growing company. We primarily support:What we are looking for:
- A senior developer that has experience and can get up to speed quickly
- PHP/Javascript experience
- CSS and responsive web design
- WordPress experience, ideally
- Solid Understanding of Git
- The ability to take a complex problem, propose a solution, code it, and get it live without frequently needing follow-up
- Good communication skills: we are a fully remote team, so clear, accurate documentation and ticket updates are critical
- Good organizational skills: we are at a critical juncture for the company, so you’ll have to stay on top of all your tasks
- Someone that is self-driven. You’ll have a lot of freedom here, but you need to get your work done.
- Ability to work with closely linked outside teams, like UX, Data, Email, Editorial
Being familiar with the following is a plus, but not required:
- AWS
- Docker/Containers
- Kubernetes
- CDNs (Fastly)
- Automated Testing
- Subscription business models
- Programmatic display advertising
- Email newsletters
- Optimizing PHP/MySQL for performance
- OAuth
- User Acquisition

So while you’ll be expected to handle complex problems on your own, there will also be developers that have been doing this for awhile and can offer advice or answer questions.Some dev teams love to build complex architecture and new frameworks.
