This role requires extensive experience in all phases of the software development life cycle, from initial concept to maintenance and feature enhancement.Your role:
- Design and execute development tasks for various applications and systems
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement solutions and resolve issues
- Establish and maintain optimal development frameworks
- Implement solutions adhering to sound design principles and best practices
- Work with source code repositories, continuous integration, and deployment plans
- Perform updates based on vulnerabilities and project value
- Maintain system, architecture, and build documentation
- Support project management activities
What you’ve got:
- Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS and Azure)
- Expertise in server-side web development technologies
- Familiarity with various IDEs (e.g., IntelliJ IDEA, PgAdmin, SQL Server Management Studio)
- Proficiency in source versioning systems (Git/Subversion)
- Strong SQL skills (PostgreSQL/T-SQL)
- Experience with trouble ticket reporting systems (e.g., JIRA, IssueTrak)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of full-stack programming experience
- 2-3 years of cloud environment experience
- Expertise in UI/UX development using JavaScript/HTML ecosystems
- 2+ years of Python programming experience
- Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js, Angular, or React)
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, algorithms, and data structures
- Experience with various libraries and constructs (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSP, JDBC, Python, JasperReports, XML, JSON)
- Familiarity with Bootstrap or similar libraries
- Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently
- Detail-oriented with a passion for quality
Work Environment:
- Remote position open to residents of the United States or Canada (US/Canadian citizens or US permanent residents only)
- Collaboration with team members during regular business hours (Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM Pacific Time)
- Reporting to the Applications Development Manager
- Frequent interaction with IT management and department heads
