It’s a career where you have the support, balance, and resources to make a positive impact on the future – including your own.We’re actively seeking a talented Sr. Application Developer to join our HR Product Team in Newport Beach, CA or RemoteThe HR Application Developer is a member of the IT HR Product Team and is primarily responsible for the design, development, testing, implementation, and support of Workday integrations across all IT and business systems. Additionally, this role will also support the portfolio of other HR solutions. You will be evaluating new and existing systems to determine integration requirements and provide solutions utilizing services, workflows, and tools that align to enterprise strategies and adhere to architectural principles and best practices. This position will aid in the planning, coordinating, and operations of the system(s), including daily support using best practices for business operation, and ensuring the system’s availability and functionality across the portfolio.This position will report to the HR Product Owner. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who has an understanding of HR technology tools and expertise in enterprise application integrations. An ability to think critically and outside the box is a must. This role requires the candidate to adapt existing methods, tools, and procedures to create enhanced solutions to deliver on client needs.Responsibilities and Skillsets:Proficiency in multiple integration areas: Workday Studio, Connectors, EIBs/iLoad solutions and Payroll Integrations (PECI)Knowledge of XSLT /XMLComplex reporting (Custom reports, calculated fields, Workday object model, BIRT)Prior experience with requirements gathering, integration design, testing and deploymentUnderstanding of global HR landscape as well as HR functionsFamiliar with emerging tech (AI)Web Services and APIs: Understanding RESTful APIs, SOAP, and GraphQL is essential.Security and Authentication: Knowledge of OAuth, SAML, and other authentication mechanisms ensures secure data exchange between systems.Develop and maintain technical specifications and documentation for integration processes, configurations, and best practicesStay updated on industry trends and advancements in integration technologies and AI/LLM integrationExperience with full system integration testing and HR systems release cyclesProactive monitoring and operational best practices (integration and performance monitoring, break fix, and troubleshooting)Middleware Tools: Familiarity with middleware platforms like MuleSoft and Snowflake would help make you standoutDesign and develop integrations between internal and third party systems (SaaS)
Support, troubleshoot and maintain applications and integrationsContribute to the design and evolution of system architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with business needsEffectively communicate, partner with and execute cross-functional projectsDevelop a deep understanding of the business area and systems to guide you in designing effective solutionsContribute to the continuous improvement of integration methodologies and processesExperience & Competencies Required:5 years of experience in building integrations within the Workday ecosystem using cloud connectors, EIB, and Workday StudioProficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Java, Python, and JavaScript preferredMicrosoft Suite, Visio, ADOIn-depth understanding of system architectureThorough knowledge of Software Development Life cycle and QA processesVery good understanding of HR technology tools and domainAbility to work well with business users in requirement gathering, solutions design, development, and QAAction-oriented, self-motivated, and independent.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Established verbal and written communication skills.You are certified in:Workday Pro Integration AdministrationWorkday Pro Studio (must have)Workday HCM (nice to have)Workday Extend (nice to have)You can be who you are.People come first here. Base Pay Range:The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location.
