As a Senior Product Designer I, you will apply principles of design thinking to conceptualize and create engaging, valuable, and intuitive user experiences for our web and mobile apps. You will represent the end-user and promote human-centered methodologies across the product team to ensure new designs that meet people’s needs from first-time users to seasoned experts.You will report into a Sr. Manager, Product Design, and can be based in our Bellevue, WA office, or you may work remotely from anywhere in the US where Smartsheet is a registered employer.Who We Are:The User Experience (UX) team is a large and growing team of designers, researchers, writers, and program managers.   • Create visually stunning and engaging experiences that make emotional connections with users, solve problems and communicate our brand
  • Partner with product to dig into user needs and goals and shape experiences to support them
  • Create task flows, wireframes, prototypes, and other interaction design deliverables to demonstrate customer value and drive alignment across teams
  • Partner with research to drive customer studies where needed
  • Craft decks to share out work early and often with key stakeholders
  • Provide assets, specifications, and guidance for implementation of the user experience throughout the entire development process.
  • Work with the Design System team to leverage existing components or work with them to define new ones
  • Partner with designers in other areas to drive end to end cohesion
  • Drive alignment of customer needs and value with product and engineering partners across the organization
  • Support other duties as needed

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years design experience, with strong information design and visual design skill, including color, typography, and hierarchy
  • Passion for productivity software
  • Experience facilitating activities to gather insights on user needs and goals
  • Experience facilitating workshops to align internal teams
  • Experience in designing interactions accounting for customer needs, emotions, and scalability
  • Experience proactively seeking and handling feedback well from a larger group of designers, product managers and engineering leaders
  • Excellent storytelling skills with the ability to clearly articulate a problem, a hypothesis, concepts explored, and recommendation with convincing rationale
  • Expert in Figma for prototyping, wireframing and high fidelity visual design specification
  • Degree in Design (Interaction, Product, Communication, HCD, or related) or equivalent experience

Smartsheet provides a competitive base salary range for roles that may be hired in different geographic areas we are licensed to operate our business from. Actual compensation is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, level of professional, educational experience, skills, and specific candidate location.
