As a Travel Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our team of experienced travel consultants in various administrative and customer service tasks. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about travel and seeking to start their career in the travel industry.Responsibilities: * Client Support: Assist travel consultants in providing excellent customer service to clients by responding to inquiries, answering phone calls, and addressing concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Travel Booking: Learn to assist with booking flights, hotels, rental cars, tours, and other travel services for clients under the guidance of experienced travel consultants.
- Documentation Assistance: Help clients with obtaining necessary travel documents, such as passports, visas, and travel insurance, and provide guidance on requirements and deadlines.
- Research: Conduct research on destinations, attractions, activities, and travel options to support travel consultants in creating customized travel itineraries and recommendations for clients.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist with various administrative tasks, such as data entry, filing, organizing travel documents, and maintaining client records, to ensure the smooth operation of the travel department.
- Supplier Coordination: Liaise with airlines, hotels, tour operators, and other travel suppliers to confirm bookings, gather information, and assist in resolving any issues or changes.
- Training and Development: Participate in training sessions and educational programs to learn about travel industry trends, booking systems, and customer service best practices.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other team members to ensure that client needs are met and that travel arrangements are accurate and up-to-date.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively seek feedback from supervisors and peers, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement in processes, systems, and service delivery.
- Adherence to Policies: Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification required; additional education or training in travel and tourism is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and positive attitude.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new software systems quickly.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling documentation, data entry, and administrative tasks.
- Passion for travel and a desire to learn and grow in the travel industry.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed to support client needs and team operations.
